Welcome to By Juliette. Please take a moment to read through the following Terms and Conditions carefully. These terms are designed to ensure a smooth, professional, and enjoyable experience for every client. By proceeding with a booking, paying a deposit, or confirming an appointment, you agree to the following terms.
General Overview
By Juliette provides professional hair and makeup services for bridal, event, and corporate clients across Sydney and surrounding areas. These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, including trials, mobile services, travel bookings, and destination events. Juliette reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The most recent version will always be available on this website.
Booking Process
All bookings can be made via the enquiry form, email, or phone.
A booking is only confirmed once a non-refundable deposit has been received and a written confirmation has been issued. Bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to high demand, especially during wedding season, early booking is recommended. Minimum service numbers may apply for peak dates and travel appointments.
Deposits & Payments

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. This deposit will be deducted from the total balance.

The remaining balance is due by the agreed date (usually 7 days before your event) unless otherwise arranged.

Payments can be made via bank transfer or other approved methods.

Travel fees, parking costs, and early start surcharges (for bookings starting before 7:00am) may apply and will be quoted in advance.

Bookings are not confirmed until payment is received.
Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds
Life happens, but clear policies help protect both you and the artist.
Client Cancellations:

Deposits are non-refundable.

Cancellations made within 14 days of the event will incur the full service fee.

If a booking is reduced in size (e.g., fewer people requiring services), the original quoted amount may still apply.
Trial Appointments:
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the appointment cost.
Wedding Day Bookings:
To secure your date, a non-refundable booking fee is required at the time of confirmation. This fee will be deducted from your final balance.
Cancellations made within 8 weeks of the wedding date will result in 50% of the total quoted amount being payable.
Rescheduling:
Reschedules are subject to availability. A new deposit may be required if the original booking date is cancelled
Artist Cancellations:

In the unlikely event Juliette cannot attend due to illness or emergency, a full refund will be issued for any payments made. Juliette will also make every effort to arrange a trusted replacement artist if possible.
I understand that sometimes plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, please get in touch as soon as possible so I can do my best to accommodate you.
TRIALS
Bridal trials are an important part of the preparation process and are recommended for all brides. Trials are typically held in Juliette’s home makeup studio, where lighting and setup are ideal.
Trials include:

Discussion of your desired style and aesthetic

Experimentation with products and looks to find what flatters you best

Planning bridesmaid or guest styling

Trial fees are separate from wedding day pricing and are non-refundable once completed.
Timing & Punctuality
To ensure a calm and smooth preparation experience:

A detailed schedule will be created for the wedding or event morning.

Clients must be ready to begin services at the scheduled time.

Late arrivals may result in reduced service time or, in some cases, forfeiture of the booking without refund.

Juliette is not responsible for delays caused by clients, bridal parties, or other vendors.
Photography & Social Media
Juliette may take photographs of hair and makeup looks before and after for portfolio or social media use.
If you prefer not to have photos taken or shared, please advise Juliette at any time,
your privacy will always be respected.
Products, Hygiene & Allergies
Juliette takes hygiene, product safety, and client care seriously. All tools and brushes are cleaned and sanitised between clients.

Products are chosen with care for their quality, performance, and skin-friendly ingredients.

Many products are cruelty-free, vegan, and eco-conscious.

Clients must inform Juliette of any allergies, sensitivities, or skin conditions before the service begins.

Juliette is not responsible for any reactions to products if allergies were not disclosed.
Liability
Juliette will always provide services with professionalism and care. However, she cannot be held liable for:

Allergic reactions or sensitivities that were not disclosed in advance

Loss or damage to personal property during the service

Delays or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances beyond her control (e.g., traffic, extreme weather, illness)
Juliette reserves the right to refuse service if a client displays inappropriate, aggressive, or unsafe behaviour.
Health & Safety
If you or any member of your bridal party is unwell, please notify Juliette as soon as possible. To protect all clients, Juliette reserves the right to refuse service in cases of illness or contagious conditions.
Privacy
All personal information collected is used solely for booking and communication purposes. Your information will never be shared with third parties without consent.
Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enquiry, paying a deposit, or proceeding with a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
